Excellent entries can receive the following titles.

Semifinalists

Through a rigorous judging process, 5% of applicants will be selected to be mentioned in the Spring 2026 Edition of the Stony Brook Young Investigators Review journal.

Finalists

The top few entries for each prompt will be selected as finalists, selected to have their work published on the Stony Brook Young Investigators Review website, sbyireview.com,.

Winners

A maximum of one winner will be chosen per prompt, totaling up to five winners who will be chosen to be published in the print edition of the Spring 2026 Edition of the Stony Brook Young Investigators Review journal. You can find our most recent print submissions at sbyireview.com/previous-journals/
